Boots UK staff will not receive annual bonuses this year after the business failed to hit its profit targets.
Almost 60,000 British staff and UK health and beauty managing director Simon Roberts will not be paid their bonuses, which are thought to be between 1.5% and 8% of their salary. But Alliance Boots will make a one-off payment as a gesture of goodwill thought to be 1%, according to the Express.
Alliance Boots operates in 25 countries and it is thought that only the UK missed profit targets.
It comes as the group revealed trading profits up 0.4% to £1.3bn and a 4.3% revenue growth to £23.4bn in the year to March 31, to £23.4bn.
Boots UK posted a 2.3% revenue jump to £6.7bn and profits increased 2.1% to £830m.
