Holland & Barrett has appointed former Marks & Spencer product director April Preston as its new global product director.
Preston, who has been at M&S for the past three years in a second stint leading the transformation of the brand’s food range, is set to join Holland & Barrett as it continues to revamp its product and service offering.
Prior to joining M&S, Preston also worked at upmarket department store Harrods and food manufacturer 2 Sisters Food Group. She started her career at Marks & Spencer, which she joined in 1995.
Holland & Barrett chief commercial officer, Alex Dower said: “I am delighted to have April on board, this is a real coup for Holland & Barrett as we believe somebody of April’s extensive experience will prove pivotal in enhancing our transformation strategy; a vision of helping 100 million customers globally achieve their health and wellness goals.”
Preston said: “Once in a blue moon, if you’re lucky, the perfect job comes along. This role ticked so many boxes for me as it allows me to work on a global scale, play a part in a company’s transformation and help our customers to improve their health and wellness through delicious food and a more holistic personal approach, which is something I care deeply about.
“I am so excited to get stuck into my new role at Holland & Barrett and work to create ranges and products that ensure we become the world’s leading retailer of great quality, delicious and nutritious food, and natural beauty.”
