John Lewis is investing £9m in upgrading beauty halls at a clutch of its stores, introducing new brands in a bid to “supercharge” its offering.
The department store chain’s shops in Cambridge, Cribbs Causeway and Bluewater will be refurbished with the space in beauty halls increasing by around a half.
The refurbishments are expected to be completed by the end of October.
New brands to be introduced include Marc Jacobs Beauty, Tom Ford Beauty, Charlotte Tilbury, MAC, Chanel, Jo Malone, Urban Decay and La Prairie.
John Lewis shops in Cardiff, Stratford, Peter Jones, and Cheadle, have also had investment in their beauty halls.
Ed Connolly, John Lewis’s buying director for fashion and beauty said: “Beauty is one of the best performing categories at John Lewis and a significant footfall driver, so this investment is a reflection of our ambition in this space.”
