Superdrug is pushing into experiential beauty with its new store format, which will offer a range of services including a barber shop and hair salon.
The health and beauty retailer is unveiling it’s first beauty studio at its branch in Leicester’s Fosse Park this month, which will boast a variety of treatments including waxing and piercing as well as a nail bar.
Prices at the retailer’s hair salon will range from £15 to £60 and services at its grooming salon will start at £8 for a beard trim.
Superdrug, which reported a 41% spike in its pre-tax profits in July, ramped up its beauty services offer after the success of its brow and lash bars, which are now in 282 of its branches.
The health and beauty specialist also currently has nail bars in 63 of its stores and offers waxing treatments in nine of its outlets.
Superdrug sales operations director Jerry Walkling said: “Our brow and lash bars have been a huge success and the launch of our new Beauty Studio format takes this fast accessible beauty approach to the next level.
“We’ve taken our Fosse Park store which opened last year to create this new beauty services format on the mezzanine area. We’re incredibly excited about the opportunities this enhanced service menu offers to customers to come into store and have a true Superdrug head-to-toe makeover.”
