The Fragrance Shop has reported increases in its sale and profits as the retailer presses on with expansion.
The specialist retailer reported a 7.6% jump in EBITDA to £15.1m in the year to March 31, while net profit increased 16.3% to £10.2m.
The retailer, which did not provide a pre-tax profit figure, posted a 5% boost in like-for-like sales and overall sales increased 11.9%.
The Fragrance Shop, which operates 183 stores across the UK, plans to expand to 200 stores this year as well as completing a roll-out of concessions across 28 House of Fraser department stores.
The retailer reported a 34% jump in ecommerce sales during the period.
Chief executive Sanjay Vadera said: “We have achieved outstanding like-for-like sales growth for another year as a result of listening to our customers and giving them what they are asking for; an expanding range of accessibly-priced luxury fragrances, being first to market with exclusives, the best possible retail experience and an expanding store portfolio.
“This year we will continue to expand our store portfolio and are on track to open our 200th store, alongside a concession store format in partnership with House of Fraser across 28 sites. We will also unveil our new ‘Scentaddict’ subscription service, currently in beta testing, which will allow customers to try luxury scents monthly with no commitment.
