The CIT Group has completed a string of lettings at its Quedam Shopping Centre at Yeovil in Somerset with New Look, HMV and Costa joining the tenant line-up.
The latest deals have seen the£100 zone A barrier broken for the first time at Yeovil.
HMV has taken a 5,000 sq ft unit (465 sq m) on the corner of Vicarage Walk and Fredrick Place, replacing Etam. The commencing rent of£165,000 a year reflects more than£100 zone A rent.
Costa Coffee has also signed up for a 1,700 sq ft (160 sq m) unit on the corner of Vicarage Walk and Ivel Square. The premises were let on a base rent of£57,500 a year, plus a turnover top-up.
In addition, CIT has been granted planning permission to build an extra 12,000 sq ft (1,115 sq m) unit next to the existing Iceland supermarket at the car park entrance. The unit has been pre-let to New Look at a rent of£140,000 a year. Construction is about to begin and New Look is expected to take possession of the unit in February next year.
CIT was represented by DTZ Debenham Tie Leung and Mansfield Elstob Main.
Jackson Criss acted for HMV. Cushman & Wakefield Healey & Baker advised Costa Coffee while Dalgleish acted for New Look.
