Homebase has frozen its home delivery service while new owner Bunnings completes its separation from Home Retail Group and moves to a new web platform.
The Wesfarmers-owned DIY firm – which launched its assault on the UK home improvement market after it acquired Homebase last year – said its delivery service is unavailable temporarily but would be back soon.
The web re-platforming marks another stage of the retailer’s journey to transition from Homebase to Bunnings.
The Australian business has converted a slew of Homebase stores and plans to have between 15 and 20 Bunnings Warehouse stores fully operational by the end of this year.
A Bunnings spokeswoman said: “This is temporary and part of the website re-platform, to make it easier for customers to browse our great ranges, advice and ideas.
“During this time shoppers will still be able to browse the site and check stock availability in our stores.”
