Loaf has snapped up Boden’s long-standing merchandising boss Neil Barley to take the reins as the furniture retailer’s chief operating officer.
Barley, who has joined the specialist retailer this month, is tasked with overseeing the day-to-day running of the business as well as its logistics and warehouse operations.
He will report directly to chief executive Charlie Marshall.
He joins the business from Boden, where he has held a variety of merchandising roles over the past 17 years, culminating as merchandising director, a position he has held since 2011.
Prior to joining Boden, Barley held merchandising positions at retailers including the Arcadia Group and La Senza.
Marshall said: “I am delighted to have Neil on board. He joins armed with a wealth of experience, having seen it all at Boden, a company that has achieved tremendous growth over the past decade.
“He has a strong track record of helping businesses deliver fast, profitable growth, and he shares our passion to deliver an outstanding experience for our customers.
“We’ve got big plans in store and I can’t wait for him to get stuck in.”
Loaf, the former pure-play retailer, has three London show rooms and plans to open 11 across the UK.
The furniture retailer plans to double its annual turnover to £80m.
