Danish value retailer Tiger is close to signing for a flagship store at 105-107 Oxford Street, replacing fashion chain Frencheye.
The 7,500 sq ft store will be split over two levels and will stock the company’s range of value homeware such as kitchen utensils, candles and clocks.
Tiger recorded a 63% surge in pre-tax profit last year as it opened six stores in the year including its Tottenham Court Road flagship. It opened the central London store in August last year.
The general merchandise value retailer generated £2.8m in pre-tax profit in the year to December 31, 2013.
Sales soared 45% to £23.3m and like-for-like sales jumped 4%.
Property agency Brasier Freeth and shopping centre management firm Plus Shops Retail are advising Tiger.
