Wayfair is opening a bricks-and-mortar pop-up store for one day to showcase its online offerings and give customers a sneak-peek at its Christmas 2019 range.
The pop-up event – held on August 1 – will be the first physical space the online homewares retailer has trialled in the UK.
The specially curated two-storey space will feature four travel-destination-themed rooms including a retro-style Palm Springs and a Scandinavian-inspired Christmas showroom.
The space in London’s Soho will have experiential and interactive elements as well as giving customers the chance to ‘shop the look’.
Visitors to the free-to-attend event will be able to browse and purchase items they see in-store for home delivery on the iPads provided in the showroom, as well as its full range of products sold online.
Earlier this year Wayfair announced it was opening its first permanent bricks-and-mortar store in Natick Mall in Natick, Massachusetts in the autumn after trialling a pop-up store in the same location the previous year.
