B&M chief executive receives double pay package

B&M chief executive Simon Aurora will be paid £1.4m compared with a £601,638 pay package last year amid a surge in profits, The Telegraph reported.

Aurora is set to receive a bonus of £678,692.

Earlier this month, Aurora and his brothers cashed in £230m through a sale of shares.

Former Halfords boss misses out on annual bonus

Halfords' former chief executive Jill McDonald will not receive a bonus of £1.7m as she exists the firm to join M&S, The Guardian reported.

McDonald’s total pay dropped £110,000 in her final year to £741,412.

She has joined M&S as managing director of clothing, home and beauty.

She could be compensated under M&S’s policy to offer payments or buyout awards to new recruits to make up for the bonuses missed at their former employer.

Burberry appoints new non-executive director

Burberry has appointed Ron Frasch as non-executive director, This is Money reported.

Frasch will join the firm in September to improve the retailer’s sales in the US.

The appointment came amid news of Sir John Peace’s departure; he was the chairman since 2002.
