Retail news round-up: John Lewis recalls women's tops over fire risk, and Aldo appoints new CEO
John Lewis recalls womenswear over fire risk
John Lewis has recalled a range of women’s tops following reports of a potential flammability risk, The Scotsman reported.
Fat Face, which manufactures the women’s tops and sells them through John Lewis's website, said there was a risk if the garment came in contact with a naked flame.
The clothes that are being recalled are a Yarmouth top and a Cowes sweater.
The company may have contacted customers who have purchased one of the tops via email. If not, they can return the item to the nearest Fat Face or John Lewis shop for a refund.
Aldo appoints new CEO
Aldo has named David Bensadoun, eldest son of founder Aldo Bensadoun, as its new CEO, Drapers reported.
David Bensadoun, who joined the company in 1995 as a project manager, was president of the Aldo Group in North America.
He will take up his new role on April 3, replacing Patrick Frisk.
