Next planning to launch its own-label brand
Next is planning to launch a new own-label clothing range under its Label division, Drapers reports.
The brand will be led by creative director of Next Label Gemma Metheringham and is set to be launched in August.
A spokesperson for Next said: “It’s an interesting and exciting project.
“The first year will be a trial and we expect modest sales.”
“Thereafter we will see how it goes.”
Jaeger creditors to receive less than 2p in the pound
Jaeger Company’s Shops Limited creditors, who own £29.92m in total, are likely to receive less than 2p in the pound, The Times reported.
According to an administrators report filed by Alix Partners, creditors to Jaeger Company Ltd are owed £11.50m but may not receive anything.
In total, 113 Jaeger staff have been made redundant so far.
Online grocery shopping increases amid same-day delivery
Online grocery shopping has reported a 14% increase up from 7% in 2014, Daily Mail reported.
The total online grocery spending is expected to increase £1.2bn in 2017.
The increase in this number is owing to online stores including Tesco and Sainsbury’s offering same day delivery.
