Retail news round-up: Brexit impacts UK consumer spending

UK consumers fears Brexit’s impact on spending

The impact of Brexit is worrying more than 20% of UK consumers for their spending plan, according to data by PwC, Reuters reported.

Another survey by the business advisory group said that almost six in ten British consumers are concerned about their lack of disposal income.

PwC had surveyed more than 1,000 UK shoppers and it was found that price was the most important factor for determining customer loyalty, with 59% saying they returned to a retailer because prices were good.

Other important reasons were trust in the brand 43% and items being in stock 37%.

The report also shows that consumers are increasingly relying on Amazon, with 91% of UK shoppers using the internet retailer.
