John Lewis and Asda have unveiled a raft of discounted electronics, gaming and technology items for online shoppers and in stores to mark Black Friday.
John Lewis kicked off early with a range of offers going live at midnight, which will be available in stores from 8am this morning, including discounts on cameras, coffee machines, radios, computers and tablet devices.
Asda has cut in-store prices on over 700,000 products as of 8am this morning at 441 of its sites across the country. These discounts will run into Saturdayl.
The biggest discount by John Lewis is on the Delonghi PrimaDonna S Bean-to-Cup coffee machine, which is half price at £595, and it has a raft of other offers of up to £200 off home electrical goods.
Asda is offering up to 75% off certain products, with the biggest saving in real terms standing at £3,000 off the price of quad bikes.
John Lewis buying director for electricals and home technology Johnathan Marsh said: “Black Friday has become a special event for our customers and we have lots of great bargains for them to enjoy.
“The huge range of specially curated deals in our electricals and technology departments, combined with our Never Knowingly Undersold price promise, means that John Lewis should be the number one destination for shoppers this year.”
Last year’s Black Friday discounts caused a surge of activity on Johnlewis.com, which experienced its busiest ever day for online sales, double the previous record.
