New Look recorded positive like-for-likes over Christmas when the fashion retailer battled stiff competition across the high street.
New Look delivered like-for-like sales growth of about 1.5% in the seven weeks to December 31, Sky News reported.
The positive Christmas figures will come as a relief to the retailer which did not go on Sale until after Christmas Day, unlike high street rivals including Marks & Spencer.
However, the growth was behind last year’s 3.7% like-for-like rise in the 14 weeks to December 29.
It is understood the retailer may publish details of its Christmas trading tomorrow. New Look declined to comment.
