Department store group Fenwick’s James Fenwick was recognised for services to retail.
Co-operative Group chief executive Peter Marks was also honoured for services to the retail trade.
Marks & Spencer non-executive director Martha Lane Fox, also a founder of Lastminute.com and UK digital champion, was honoured for services to the UK digital economy and to charity.
David Potts, former Tesco board member and chief executive of its Asian business, was recognised for services in employment, skills and apprenticeships in retail.
Property firm Westfield director of development, John Burton, was honoured for services to urban regeneration and to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
