Planning consent exists for eight units, and Homebase has signed up for a 25,000 sq ft (2,325 sq m) unit and Argos for 9,500 sq ft (880 sq m) of space. According to Tim Appleton, director at letting agent Colliers CRE, more deals are in the pipeline. He said: 'Deals involving four other retailers are being negotiated, which means only 25 per cent of the park remains available and this is already attracting considerable interest.'
Construction work is about to get under way on Phase 1 of the£14 million retail scheme at the former auction market site on Hyndford Road, Lanark. The development is expected to be completed next August.
