A spokeswoman for the retailer said: 'It is not true that the Christmas campaign will be the last Homebase campaign for Leslie and Neil. We are very happy with the campaign so far, but as you would expect from any business, it is sensible for us to explore all possible options before making a decision on the future of our advertising campaign.'
According to the Daily Express, Homebase bosses thought Ash and Morrissey no longer fitted the brand that the retailer wants to project.
