The founders of Ideal Shopping Direct have demanded that a general meeting be convened to oust directors including chairman David Williams.

Paul Wright and Val Kaye have issued a requisition notice through their PH Nominees vehicle and want to have themselves appointed company directors.

Along with Williams, they want non-executive directors Susan Ellis and Terry Donovan removed from AIM-listed Ideal’s board.

No reason was given for the action in a Stock Exchange announcement, but last month the pair increased their stakes in Ideal and hold more than 29 per cent of the shares between them.
