International footwear brands are making a play for the UK market, with premium Brazilian chain NÃO Do Brasil opening its first UK store in Bluewater while Japanese fashion brand Onitsuka Tiger plans to expand.
NÃO Do Brasil will open a 1,075 sq ft store and Onitsuka Tiger will open its second UK store in a 1,200 sq ft unit in Westfield London as part of a UK expansion drive.
Property agency Cushman & Wakefield acts for both retailers and Capital Retail also acts for Onitsuka Tiger. The stores are expected to open before Christmas.
Separately, Sheffield’s Meadowhall has signed Lakeland, G-Star and Pandora. Also Austin Reed, Country Casuals and Viyella are to open a three-fascia unit in the centre, the first store of its type in the UK.
