Amazon is in acquisition talks with Brazilian bookseller Saraiva, according to sources.

Saraiva is based in São Paulo and sells through stores and online. It is thought Amazon could leverage the deal to establish itself in the fast-growing Brazilian ecommerce market.

Amazon declined to comment.
