Auchan net sales up 7.1% to £36.5bn

Grocer Auchan has reported that net sales grew to E42.5bn (£36.5bn) in the 2010 fiscal year, up 7.1%. Revenue grew 3% in France, 1.1% in its other Western European countries (Spain, Italy, Portugal and Luxembourg) and 22.7% in Central and Eastern Europe (Poland, Hungary, Romania, Russia and Ukraine) and Asia (China and Taiwan), where a substantial part of Auchan’s expansion during the year was concentrated.
