DIY retailer Praktiker has revealed revenues dropped 7% to E844m (£735m) for the third quarter ended September 30.
Like-for-like sales were also down 7%, while revenues of the Praktiker banner in Germany fell 9%. However, its domestic Max Bahr banner reported revenues increased by 3%. International revenues continued to decline, particularly in Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey by 17%, 15% and 21% respectively.
Praktiker also suffered negative third-quarter EBIT of E10m (£8.7m) resulting in a net loss of E26m (£22.6m). The company said it expected revenues and earnings to drop further in the fourth quarter.
