Delhaize Group has completed the acquisition of Serbian retail group Delta M. Delhaize said that over the next several quarters it will focus on the development of strategic plans for pricing, branding, as well as format management to ensure growth in the region.
The retailer’s target is the generation of more than E20m (£17.53m) in net annual EBITDA synergies. Delhaize Group chief executive Pierre-Olivier Beckers said: “The addition of Delta Maxi combined with Delhaize’s businesses in Romania and Greece makes the retailer a leading player in the region.”
