Clothing retailer Gap is to remodel its discount clothing chain Old Navy, abandoning its surplus feel in favour of a more modern look
The new store arrangement organises clothes into areas based on outfit types to encourage more impulse purchases.
Store designers have moved the checkout area and changing rooms to the middle of the store and for customers wanting to try on clothing quickly, there are several ‘Quick Change’ booths. Old Navy has already remodelled stores in Clearwater and Tampa, Florida this spring, and will move on to other stores in the coming months.
