Home furnishings retailer Ikea plans to open its first store in Croatia at the end of 2013, the Croatian Times reported.

Following a meeting with company officials, the Swedish ambassador to Croatia, Fredrik Vahlquist, said long-term plans included the opening of two more stores in Rijeka and in the Dalmatian city of Split.
