Fashion group JD Sports has hired property advisers to guide on expansion in France.
JD Sports has brought Cushman & Wakefield on board as it seeks to build a chain of at least 100 shops in France, where it already owns 75-store chain Chausport.
The retailer’s property director, Nigel Keen, told the Independent on Sunday: “We are targeting the main urban areas across France to build on the successful opening of three trial stores in Lille, Paris and Lyons.”
JD is looking for premises of between 400 sq m and 1,000 sq m on high streets and in shopping centres.
