Schwarz Group-owned discounter Lidl has reportedly been reprimanded by the Swedish Advertising Ombudsman for misleading advertising.
An article in Esmerk said that a consumer lodged a complaint about a TV commercial in which the retailer claims to travel the world to buy produce directly from local farmers.
The complainant argued that the advertisement wrongly gives the impression that Lidl makes bulk purchases from small-scale producers.
