Joël Saveuse, the chief executive of Metro Group’s Real hypermarkets business, has stepped down and will leave the business on March 31. Saveuse was reportedly considered for the group chief executive role when Dr Eckhard Cordes stepped down last October but then chief finance officer Olaf Koch was appointed.
