French perfumery chain Sephora has received antitrust clearance to acquire 20% of United Europe Group, the majority owner of the Russian perfumery chain Ile de Beauté.

Sephora-group owner LVMH and United Europe announced on October 6, 2008 that they were setting up a joint venture to run Ile de Beauté. LVMH was granted an option to buy more shares from the founders of the chain.
