JJB Sports has today announced the retirement of its director of retail and product Colin Tranter after less than a year at the company.
Chief executive Keith Jones, who joined the sports retailer at the start of this month will take responsibility for retail and product for the short term.
JJB said in a statement: “The board wishes to express its thanks to Colin for all he has achieved since he joined the board in May 2009. He has chosen to spend more time with his wife and grandchildren and the board wishes him a happy retirement.”
Tranter was brought into the chain last year when the board was trying to turnaround the business and was tasked with rejuvenating JJB’s product ranges and stores.
