Marisa Cassoni joins at end of June
John Lewis Partnership has appointed Royal Mail finance chief Marisa Cassoni as finance director.
Cassoni will join John Lewis on June 26. She replaces Ros Haigh, who has been acting finance director since the death of Ian Alexander at the end of November last year. Haigh will resume her position as director of financial control.
Cassoni has served as group finance director at The Royal Mail for five years. Previously, she was finance director at Britannic and group finance director of Prudential's UK division. She is also a member of the Accounting Standards Board.
John Lewis Partnership Chairman Sir Stuart Hampson said: 'Marisa's breadth of experience and expertise will be of significant value to the Partnership as John Lewis and Waitrose continue to face the rigour of such a competitive sector'.
