Streetwear brand Kangol is to open a temporary shop at Dray Walk Gallery, Brick Lane, London, next month. Art director Shona Heath will design and dress the 2,000 sq ft (185 sq m) space with a mixture of fashion, music and art collaborations, forming the backdrop to a representation of Kangol's product range. The format, which ran in New York this month, kicks off with a retrospective exhibition featuring vintage clothing, live graffiti and DJs. A different in-store theme will be created each week until August 29. According to a company spokesman, the shop will act 'as a visual representation of the brand', with chill-out areas, an interactive booth, a full-size decorated car (either a Bentley or a Jaguar) and a Sony PlayStation gaming area.
