KarstadtQuelle sales fall

Struggling German retailer KarstadtQuelle reported widening underlying first-half losses and cut full-year forecasts. Losses increased to EUR388.5 million (£260.1 million) from EUR289.3 million (£193.7 million), and sales fell 6 per cent to EUR6.78 billion (£4.54 billion).
