Childcare retailer Kiddicare has promoted its technology officer Simon Harrow to chief operating officer.
Kiddicare said the move will help it fulfil its objectives following its takeover by Morrisons in February this year.
Harrow has spent the last year managing Kiddicare’s mobile offering and has overseen the adoption of its new electronic customer relationship management system, which generates relevant promotions for customers.
In his new role he will be responsible for executing the company’s short term strategic plan. He will report into chief executive Scott Weavers-Wright and will work closely with him to shape the long term vision of the business with Morrisons.
Weavers-Wright said: “We believe Simon will be a fundamental part of the future Kiddicare and Morrisions story and this new role is designed to recognise this. I am sure he will thrive in his new role.”
Kiddicare was bought by Morrisons for £70m in January, the supermarket’s first step in developing an etail operation. The Kiddicare platform and management team are helping develop its non-food online offer.
