The £61m development faces Land Securities’ existing Buchanan Galleries. Buchanan Street was opened by Land Securities chief executive Robert Noel and Scotland’s deputy first minister Nicola Sturgeon this morning.
It follows the launch of the developer’s 1 million sq ft, Trinity Leeds shopping centre yesterday.
Noel said: “The opening of 185-221 Buchanan Street in Scotland’s No.1 retail City is further evidence of the strength of our confidence in the Scottish market: We are delighted to have introduced new brands to Scotland and are confident that Buchanan Street will further enhance the City’s retail credentials”.
