Former Etam director to take top job
Denim fashion brand Lee Cooper has appointed former Etam director Stefaan Le Clair as chief executive.

Lee Cooper said: 'The time is right for a sector-specific chief executive to take charge at this exciting phase of the brand's development. Le Clair's global product, sourcing, apparel and retail experience will be invaluable to Lee Cooper as the business moves to the next phase of expansion.'

Previously, Le Clair worked as Etam China vice-president, Interiors Europe chief buying officer, Etam Netherlands director and Esprit International Europe retail manager.

Le Clair said: 'I am delighted and proud to lead this global brand into a new stage of profitable expansion.'

Lee Cooper also revealed its joint ventures in India and China and the acquisition of its Indonesian licensee will contribute between 15 per cent and 20 per cent of revenues in the next financial year. The group expects to operate from up to 500 stores in Asia in the next two years.
