Edinburgh House Estates has achieved two pre-lets at its planned extension to the Waterborne Walk shopping centre at Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire.

Work have already started on site, and Argos has agreed a 15-year lease on a 10,000 sq ft (930 sq m) unit at£85,000 a year.

Meanwhile, Land Securities Trillium, on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions, has agreed a 15-year lease on a 5,000 sq ft (465 sq m) unit at£50,000 a year.

The existing 70,000 sq ft (6,500 sq m) shopping centre is anchored by Waitrose.

Other retailers include New Look, Superdrug, Clinton Cards and Dorothy Perkins.
