Links of London owner Folli Follie Group UK has appointed its chief financial officer Declan Delanty as managing director, replacing chief executive David Riddiford who has left the company.
Delanty, who has worked at the business since last April, will be in charge of heading up the group, which includes jewellery retailer Links of London and accessories brand Folli Follie. Delanty’s past roles include finance and IT director for Arnotts and finance and operations director at Brown Thomas Group.
It is not known where Riddiford, who departed the firm earlier this month, has left to go to.
A Folli Follie Group UK spokeswoman said that Delanty was a direct replacement for Riddiford and there were no plans to appoint a chief executive.
Riddiford, who is non-executive director of ethical fashion firm People Tree and department store Jarrold Norwich, has held a number of retail roles in the past. He has been chief executive of Arnotts, president of luxury Asian department store Lane Crawford and buying and merchandising director of Selfridges.
The company said: “The Links of London and Folli Follie brands have enjoyed great success and under Declan’s leadership the brands are well positioned for further growth.
“With the help and direction from Folli Follie Group headquarters, Declan will be leading the Folli Follie brand into its new and exciting growth stage whilst aiming at making Links of London a truly global brand through new product development and brand communication.”
