MandM Direct recorded an 11.5% increase in turnover for the year to 30 July 2023 (FY2023), following a 5.6% decline the previous year. In FY2023 it is likely to have benefited from its discounted branded offer amid the cost-of-living crisis, having suffered the year before from people’s return to physical retail.

MandM Direct (SWOT)
The company has built up strong relationships with brands, not least because its available warehouse space and operational capacity allow it to take on large amounts of stock at relatively short notice. Another important draw is that MandM acquires the stock upfront for an agreed price, while other clearance methods offer less certainty to brand owners.
