Cosmetics giant Mac is to open its first standalone Scottish store at Hammerson’s Union Square shopping centre in Aberdeen.
The 1,300 sq ft store is expected to open next month and follows recent signings at Union Square including The White Company, Cath Kidston, Joules and Hotel Chocolat.
Mac UK and Ireland vice-president and general manager Belinda Pickford said: “We are delighted to be opening a Mac store in Aberdeen. This will be our first free standing store in Scotland and we are excited to have found a prime retail offering in Union Square.
“We chose Aberdeen as we identified a genuine need and desire for us expand our footprint in this flourishing city. We are confident that this new store will enable us to offer an optimum retail experience, outstanding makeup artistry and innovation to both our existing and new customers in Scotland.”
Hammerson leasing executive Martin Bull said: “Mac Cosmetics is a superb addition to our existing beauty line-up and one which has clearly been eagerly awaited by Aberdeen shoppers.
