Maternity and nursery retailer Mamas & Papas has signed a franchise agreement to enter Russia.

Under the deal, Moscow-based FD Lab Group will open 30 Mamas & Papas stores across the country in the next five years.

Mamas & Papas deputy chief executive Richard Faulkner said: “FD Lab has the right synergy with Mamas & Papas and understands the ongoing developments of brands that are design led in their products and store environments.”

Mamas & Papas will open a flagship in Moscow that will follow a similar design format to its Regent Street store in London.

Mamas & Papas has 31 stores and plans to open a further 12 in the UK by the end of next year.
