Manchester City Football Club has overhauled the look of its merchandise store to coincide with the new season and mark the signing of a 10-year partnership with Manchester-based Umbro.
The football club has redesigned its stadium store and also applied the look to its new shop in the city’s Arndale Centre. Both take inspiration from Manchester’s long-standing connection with the music scene.
The design was created to challenge the traditional club store environment and show the cultural links between Manchester City, Umbro, fans and local music legends such as Oasis, the Doves and Badly Drawn Boy.
Various design features allude to the connections, including a family tree showing the relationship between the football club and the city’s music.
