Flic Howard-Allen, Marks & Spencer's long-serving director of communications and CSR, has quit the company.

Howard-Allen, who has worked for the company for seven years, is understood to have handed in her notice this week, but will continue to work at the retailer until May 2009.

She will join PR company Hill & Knowlton as senior services director.

A replacement has not been announced.
