Marks & Spencer will extend opening hours until 10pm or later at 200 stores during Christmas week.
The figure is similar to last year, and 28 of the shops will open until midnight.
Most Marks & Spencer stores will be shut on Christmas Day and Boxing Day, reopening on December 27. However on Boxing Day 20 Outlet stores and 131franchised Simply Food shops in travel locations will open.
The retailer is also guaranteeing delivery in time for Christmas on the majority of products ordered through its Shop Your Way service up until 3pm on Tuesday December 21.
Marks & Spencer director of retail Steve Rowe said: “Christmas is the busiest time of year for lots of people so we’re keeping our stores open for longer so that customers can shop when they need to.”
