Morrisons director joins board

Supermarket Morrisons has appointed trading director Martyn Jones to the board with immediate effect.

He will control all aspects of trading and supply chain operations at the value grocer.

Jones joined Morrisons in 1990 as trading manager for frozen foods, before being promoted to trading operations director in 1993. He was appointed grocery director in 1997 and then senior trading director in 2002, assuming former managing director Marie Melnyk's day-to-day trading responsibilities after she left the company at the end of last year.
