The extension of the Jubilee Place shopping centre in Canary Wharf will bring nine new retailers to the heart of London’s financial district.
The 44,000 sq ft extension, which will open in November, will add 25 new units in total to Canary Wharf’s existing retail offer.
The first nine retailers to have taken space in the development are premium fashion brands Banana Republic and Cos as well as The White Company, Oliver Bonas, Emmett Shirts, Le Pain Quotidien, Orlebar Brown and cosmetics brands bareMinerals and Rituals.
The new mall walkway opened to the public for access to the existing shopping mall and offices in March.
Adam Brown, founder of swimwear retailer Orlebar Brown, said: “We are very excited about the new Jubilee Place development at Canary Wharf and we’re sure it will become a natural home for Orlebar Brown. We’re very happy to be part of it and roll on November when it opens.”
The Jubilee Place extension, combined with the Canary Wharf Group’s 115,000 sq ft retail development above the new Canary Wharf Crossrail Station, represents one of the largest retail expansions currently underway in the UK.
Leasing agents Bruce Gillingham Pollard and Lunson Mitchenall acted on behalf of Canary Wharf Group.
