Etailer Girl Meets Dress is to ramp up its marketing and editorial after receiving investment from venture capital fund Global Founders Capital.
The luxury dress rental site is one of the first investments from the $200m fund, which counts Rocket Internet co-founder Oliver Samwer amongst its backers.
This is the first round of financing for Girl Meets Dress. It shares $5m with two other sites that include French social marketplace Videdressing.com.
The etailer plans to expand its marketing efforts and editorial elements on the website and plans to recruit new talent.
