Findel is understood to be planning to divest two of its home shopping brands, Confetti and I Want One of Those.
The group is examining options for the brands, which could include a sale or management buyout, Retail Week has learnt.
Online wedding specialist Confetti and quirky gifts etailer I Want One of Those experienced “challenging” trading in the 39 weeks to January 1, according to Findel.
The group’s sports fashion site Kitbag reported stronger sales for the period, up 35%. The combined sales of Kitbag, Confetti and I Want One of Those were up 16%.
It is understood Findel was previously in talks with JD Sports about the sale of Kitbag but that negotiations collapsed after a failure to agree a price.
Findel has been working on cost savings and efficiencies across the business and has already achieved £15m of annualised savings and identified a further £10m of savings.
Findel declined to comment on Confetti and I Want One of Those.
